For a hot brew, fill the tumbler with water of desired temperature, screw the infuser basket back on, let sit for desired steep time, then remove infuser basket and leaves and set aside for resteeping. For a cold brew, use chilled or room-temperature water and don't worry about removing the infuser basket and leaves until the end of the day; you can resteep just by adding more water.
