Want to be part of a community TEA Ceremony? Discover Teas is hosting its annual Wu Wo Tea Ceremony Sunday, October 26th at noon. This tea ceremony is interactive and focuses on creating a space of selflessness, peace, and sharing. We invite you to join in and serve your favorite tea or simply participate as an observer. All are welcome! (Free event) Although there are guidelines, a Wu Wo Tea Ceremony is less formal. Each event tends to take on its own form as people commune in sharing tea. Read on for more details in participation.

The Way it Goes
*All is conducted in Silence
1. For those brewing and sharing their tea, participants sit on the floor in a circle; seating is randomly assigned. For those observing, they create a larger circle surrounding those set up to brew.
2. Brewers create their own space by setting up a tray, a small tea pot, 4 small tasting cups, a thermos if possible, and chosen tea.
3. At the designated time, each participant brews his/her tea and pours a small amount into each of the 4 cups.
4. The participant stands up and using his tray serves 3 cups of tea, one to each person to his/her left. The 4th cup is kept for self-enjoyment.
5. He/she then returns to her seat and finds three new cups of tea waiting - served from the participants seated to his right.
All taste one another's tea. All is done silently.
6. The participants brew their tea again, pour it into 4 small paper cups and offer the tea to four different spectators – those that haven't been served yet- standing behind them.
7. Repeat

We will make tea four times and we will make four servings each time.
• 1st brew, we pour into four cups and go serve to the adjacent three neighbors on the left (the last cup we reserve and enjoy our self), we will receive three cups of tea served from the adjacent three neighbors on the right.
• 2nd brew we pour into four spectator cups and this time serve four spectator and return and fill our own cup if any tea is left.
• 3rd brew we take the tea pitcher and go serve the same three tea brewers on the left with the tea pitcher.
• 4th and last brew we take the tea pitcher and serve any four spectators that do not have tea.
